21 year old debutant Howard Vaughton could be the first Englishman to score a hat-trick, eventually scoring five goals in total, scoring his first after three minutes.
23 year old, also debutant,
Arthur Brown also scored a hat-trick in the same match, scoring his first in the fifteenth minute, ending with four goals in total. In either case, their third goals came in an unknown order and in unknown times.

21 year old Clement Mitchell scores three goals to celebrate his third appearance. His first goal came in the 16th minute, his hat-trick was complete in the 86th minute.

25 year old Charlie Bambridge scores the first England hat-trick in a British Championship match. His first goal was in the 18th minute, and completed by the time he was injured in the 75th minute.
followed by a second hat-trick by
24 year old Harry Cursham, he had scored his first goal shortly after Bambridge's first, and completed just after Bambridge's third. Both players were winning their eighth caps.

Winning his fouth appearance, 21 year old Tinsley Lindley scores three goals, the first in the 26th minute, his third in the 49th minute, evidently making him the quickest to compete a hat-trick so far...23 minutes.

24 year old Fred Dewhurst scores three goals on his sixth appearance, the first coming in the 16th minute, the last coming just before the full-time whistle.

On his 21st birthday, debutant Albert Allen scores three goals, becoming the youngest to do so, his first in the 14th minute, and his hat-trick was complete on the hour.

The tenth hat-trick in England colours was scored by 28 year old (& 58 days) debutant John Yates in his only appearance. The eighth against Ireland. The timings of which are unknown.

22 year old debutant Fred Geary probably scored three goals, possibly only two, maybe up to five. But if he did not, then Nat Walton or Bill Townley could have. It's a mess.... move on. We don't really know who scored the nine goals, even less so the timings.

23 year old debutant Walter Gilliat scores three goals, the tenth hat-trick against Ireland, all in the first half. His first came after eight minutes, his third after thirty. Beating the previous record of quickest hat-trick by a minute.

23 year old debutant Fred Spiksley scores three goals on his debut, the first after 25 minutes, the completion after 88 minutes.
1 April 1893, 5-2 vs. Scotland, Athletic Ground, Richmond
Fred Spiksley scores his second hat-trick in is second appearance, taking him just six minutes to do score two volleys and a dribble, and for the first time, a hat-trick is scored in each of this season's matches.

24 year old debutant John Veitch scores three goals from three shots, the first in the thirtieth minute and the last after eighty.

22 year old Steve Bloomer scored five goals. On his fourth appearance, Bloomer scored his first after 25 minutes, completing his hat-trick on the hour. Before adding another two in the last seven minutes.

27 year old debutant Fred Wheldon scores three goals, the first, a free-kick, after 27 minutes, and being completed by virtue of a scrimmage in the 55th minute.

1898-99
(2) 18 February 1899, 13-2 vs. Ireland, Roker Park Ground, Sunderland
For the third time since 1882, Ireland are the recipients of a double hat-trick. 26 year old captain Gilbert Smith, winning his 14th cap, was first with his. Scoring his first after 32 minutes, and his third on 60 minutes. He then added a fourth three minutes later.

Jimmy Settle completed his hat-trick after 80 minutes, having scored his first on the 53rd minute.

1900-01

The 20th hattrick scored by England, is a second scored by Steve Bloomer, now as a 26 year old win his thirteenth cap. He scored his first goal, a fast, high, shot, after 35 minutes, and completed his hat-trick after 80 minutes, ending with a fourth goal three minutes later, his 24th overall.

28 year old (& 287 days) captain Vivian Woodward scores three goals on his eleventh appearance, becoming the oldest to score a hat-trick so far. His first goal, off his head, came after 18 minutes, and he completed his hat-trick five minutes from the end.

29 year old (& 5 days) captain Vivian Woodward scores a second hat-trick for England. His first goal came after four minutes, and he completed his hat-trick after 55 minutes, adding a fourth goal six minutes from time.
24 year old debutant Frank Bradshaw scores three goals, his first coming in the 19th minute, completing his hat-trick a minute after Woodward scored his fourth.

22 year old George Hilsdon scores the third England hat-trick in as many days, scoring four goals on his sixth appearance. Hilsdon completed his hat-trick in the 71st minute, after scoring his first in the 28th minute. He then added a fourth goal two minutes from the end.

 29 year old (& 361 days) captain Vivian Woodward scores his third hat-trick for England, creating a new record on his twentieth appearance. His first goal came after twelve minutes, and he completed his hat-trick after 55 minutes, adding a fourth goal three minutes later.

captain Vivian Woodward scores his second hat-trick of the tour and a record fourth hat-trick for England, adding to the record he set a day previously. The timings of the goals are unknown.

22 year old Harold Fleming scores the fourteenth hat-trick against Ireland in thirty years. Winning his eight cap, Fleming scored his first goal after twelve minutes, and the hat-trick was complete after 64 minutes.
