Playing Career |

Ramsdale began his football career in the youth set-up of Bolton
Wanderers FC, before joining the equivalent set-up at Sheffield United FC
in 2013. He graduated from the Academy in 2014 and signed a scholarship in
May. Signing professionally on 6 May 2016 and making his debut in the FA
Cup the following season. On 31 January 2017, AFC Bournemouth signed
Ramsdale for £800,000. Then, on 5 January 2018, Ramsdale signed a
loan deal with Chesterfield FC for the remainder of the season, the
ultimately resulted in the Spireites losing their League status. On 4
January 2019, Ramsdale signed a loan deal with AFC Wimbledon. He returned
to Bournemouth the following season, and returned to Sheffield United FC
on 19 August 2020 for £18½ million, being relegated from the
Premier League in his first season. A year later, on 20 August 2021, Ramsdale signed with Arsenal FC for £24m. |

Ramsdale was one of four goalkeepers chosen for the 2020 European Championship Finals provisional
squad of 33 players, but was one of the seven players that were cut
from the Finals squad submitted to UEFA on 1 June 2021. |

Henderson was chosen as the first reserve goalkeeper for the 2020 European Championship Finals
squad on 1 June 2021 and was a part of the Tournament Squad until a hip
injury curtailed his involvement. He was replaced on 15 June by Aaron
Ramsdale, as per UEFA regulations. |
