Notes
Graham Taylor might
have regretted the media access he granted when a television
documentary disclosed considerable swearing in scenes from England's devastating World Cup qualifying loss to
Netherlands in Rotterdam in October, 1993. An earlier, equally critical
loss in Norway had elicited his "Do I not like that," which,
after the documentary aired, became a national catchphrase. Taylor
did not last out the year, but later returned to club management with
considerable success.
