Playing Career

Club(s)
Began his prolific football career by scoring over 100 goals with Newbury AFC in just one season.  He signed for Swindon Town FC in 2000, before turning down Chelsea FC and signing for Southampton FC as a youth just six months later. Walcott signed for Arsenal FC on 20 January 2006 for an initial £5m fee, risen to £9.1m. Then, despite interest from his former club, Walcott signed for Everton FC on 17 January 2018 for a £20m transfer fee. On Transfer Deadine Day, 5 October 2020, Walcott rejoined Southampton on a season-long loan deal, and following a successful season, Walcott signed a two year deal on 18 May 2021, effective at the end of his Everton FC contract. He was released on 28 May 2023 and he announced his retirement from playing on 18 August 2023.
