Club Career

Club(s) Began his prolific football career by scoring over 100 goals with Newbury AFC in just one season.  He signed for Swindon Town FC in 2000, before turning down Chelsea FC and signing for Southampton FC as a youth just six months later. After 21 league appearances and five goals, Walcott signed for Arsenal FC on 20 January 2006 for an initial £5m fee (now risen to £9.1m). He has since played 180 Premiership matches, scoring 40 times, until 2012-13.
Club honours FA Youth Cup runners-up 2004-05; Football League Cup runners-up 2006-07;
Individual honours BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year finalist 2005, winner 2006;
Distinctions Youngest player to ever play for Southampton FC first team, at 16 years and 143 days.  He had already played for the reserves, aged only 15 years and 175 days.
