Notes
Three Rams players started for England. George
Kinsey, Stephen Bloomer and John Goodall starred in the 9-1 demolition of
Wales, 16 March 1896. Bloomer scored five goals and Goodall scored one.
Another three started for England on two occasions in the
1930's. Tommy Cooper, Jack Bowers and Sam Crooks were all in the line-up
against Scotland, 14 April 1934. Bowers scored one of England's three
that day. Two and a half years later, captain for the day, Jack
Barker, Errington Keen and Sam Crooks started for England against Wales, 17
October 1936.
The successful Derby County side of the seventies provided
England with a few of its stars. Roy McFarland, Colin Todd and David
Nish supplied the integral part of the defence for two matches in May 1974,
against Wales and Northern Ireland.
