FC, signing as a professional on 26 August 1980. Southampton FC signed
Wright on deadline day, 25 March 1982, for £80,000. Days after
Wright turned down a move to Sheffield Wednesday FC, on 18 August 1987,
Derby County finally spent £760,000 on his signature, both clubs had
been trailing Wright all summer. Liverpool FC, on 15 July 1991, then spent
£2.2 million on Wright. |
