  Bert Mozley
Birth 21 September 1923 in Derby, Derbyshire [registered as Bert in Derby, December 1923]. Bert was one half of a twin, the other being Beryl.
  According to Passenger Lists, Bert Mozley was one of numerous professional footballers (The FA Tourists of Canada) leaving the port of Liverpool on 9 May 1950, bound for Montréal, Québec on board the Empress of Scotland. They returned to Liverpool on 30 June, on board the Empress of Canada. His address is stated as 5 Fairway Close, Allestree in Derby.
It was on 8 January 1955 that Bert left for Canada again, alone, on the Empress of Scotland, bound for Nova Scotia, he is emigrating. His address is still stated as 5 Fairway Close and his occupation still states him as a professional footballer.
Marriage to Jean Margaret Dallison, on 22 September 1945 at St. Mary's Church, Boulton [registered in Shardlow, Derbyshire, September 1945].
Bert was living at 33 Old Chester Road in Derby at the time. Mr T. Patrick was his best man.
Death Monday, 28 October 2019 in Galiano Island, Victoria, British Colombia, aged 96 years 37 days

Club Career

Club(s) Played schoolboy football in Derby and also with Shelton United FC. He signed amateur forms with Nottingham Forest FC in early 1944, but joined Derby County FC in January 1945. He became club captain and a £30,000 price tag prevented a move to Notts County FC in September 1953. At County, he played in 297 league matches, scoring twice, until January 1955. After which he emigrated to Canada.
