Playing Career

Club(s)
Began as a Luton Town FC Academy trainee.  Joined the Arsenal FC Youth Academy when he was just nine years-old. Joined Bolton Wanderers FC on 29 January 2010 on loan until the end of the season. He returned to Arsenal and made the first-team. On 31 August 2016, despite interest from Crystal Palace FC and AC Milan, he joined AFC Bournemouth on a season-long loan. Arsenal had blocked his loan move to AS Roma. However, Wilshere's season ended with a broken leg. He returned to the Emirates for the 2017-18 season. On 9 July 2018, following the expiration of his Gunners' contract, Wilshere signed for West Ham United FC, until his release on 5 October 2020. On 18 January 2021, Wilshere re-signed for AFC Bournemouth until the end of the season. During late July, Wilshere was training with Wayne Rooney's Derby County FC and there was a link with Wigan Athletic FC. However, on 31 August, he was training with Serie B side Como 1907. Any move failed to materialise and he was back at Arsenal FC, taking on a coaching role. However, on 20 February 2022, Danish side AGF Aarhus successfully signed Wilshere, making his debut as an 89th minute substitute five days later against Vejle Bk (losing 3-2). He made seven+six Superligaen appearances up until 21 May 2022. Wilshere announced his retirement from football on 8 July 2022
