Club Career

Club(s) Swan joined Sheffield Wednesday FC in 1952, but his career came to an abrupt end following his involvement in a betting ring, for which he spent six months in prison. He returned to Wednesday, until 1973, when he signed for Bury FC, then Matlock Town FC and Worksop Town FC.

Peter Swan was a member of all three of the Winter 1960 get-togethers. At Lilleshall on 12-14 December, (he was injured in a coach crash shortly afterwards and so only took an intermittent part...) at Anfield on 6-8 February 1961and at Upton Park on 13-15 March 1961.
