Notes
The England national team played regularly throughout the
glory World Cup winning years with three Hammers in the line-up.
Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters played together on 22 separate
occasions, beginning in July 1966 against Argentina, quarter-final of the '66
finals, and ending in February 1970 against Belgium.
Three West Ham players were on the field in the following
matches:- Trevor Sinclair started, David James & Joe Cole were half-time
substitutes against Italy, March 2002.
:- The same three players were all half-time substitutes in the match against
South Korea, May 2002.
:- In the following match, Joe Cole started, and Trevor Sinclair & David James
were the half-time substitutes, against Cameroon, also May 2002.
:- David James started, with Joe Cole and Trevor Sinclair being 62nd minute
substitutes against Portugal, September 2002.
