Although providing 76 players for the England team, which was their intention,
Corinthians, in seventy of the 76 cases, were the player's second club.
They first provided players for England in February 1882 against Ireland, when three turned out.
It was not until a year later, against Wales in February 1883, that they broke their record.
They provided six players, but they were just one of nine clubs represented.
After consistently providing from two to four players over next few years,
no fewer than eight players had Corinthians as a second club, against Ireland in February 1886,
then nine players turned out against Scotland, and then Wales, the following month.
Then afterwhich, a handful of Corinthians would consistently turn out for the amateur teams
that represented England until it culminated in a whole team starting against Wales in March 1894.
