The final match of the tour was played at Luxembourg on May 21st, when England
'B' beat the home side by 2 goals to 1. The team were as follows. In
oppressive thundery weather, before 12,000 spectators, the English team
gave a somewhat uninspired display. The first-half was largely a story of
missed opportunities by England, until, three minutes from half-time,
Gales, the Luxembourg centre-forward, scored from a free-kick. In the
second-half England, now more on their mettle, dominated the play. Lewis
scored in the 53rd minute to bring the scores level, and four minutes
later, taking a pass from Quigley in his stride, he scored again. In the
last five minutes the home team fought hard to save the game, but although
England's defence was occasionally hard-pressed there was no further
	  score.
