The change to Bukta in 1959, saw no discernible change to the yellow jersey from its Umbro predecessor. It still had a round-neck and, by 1963, the white uniform would also have a round neck to match. Ron Springett wore a red number one on the back during the 1962 World Cup, and possibly in the last warm-up game before the tournament, in Peru. The following year, it was adorned with the F.A.'s Centenary emblem. On its final appearance, against Hungary, the jersey worn by Gordon Banks did not have an emblem on the breast.
