Club Career

Club(s) Played for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC. Guested for Irish side Glentoran FC in 1942. Shortly after, he fractured his fibula, playing for Wolves. He announced his retirement from playing on 30 May 1947, however, following a caution in April 1947 against Manchester United FC, he was suspended by the FA on 3 July for fourteen days, effective from 18 August, the day before he was appointed the club's assistant to Ted Vizard. On the 29 July, Major Frank Buckley had to release a press statement saying that Cullis was not going to Hull City AFC.
