Comparing the Managers on their 53rd match
Bobby Robson's side beat Spain 4-2 in the first match of 1987, and Eriksson beat Colombia 3-2 in the final match of the US tour. Both Ron Greenwood's and Gareth Southgate's team won with with a single goal, Kuwait and Austria respectively. Alf Ramsey's and Roy Hodgson's sides drew, both against Russia. However, Winterbottom's team lost in their mid-South American tour to Uruguay.
