Diary

Thursday, 29 August 2019 - Gareth Southgate names his 25-man squad for the European Championship qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo. Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Aston Villa centre-back Tyrone Mings have won their first call-ups to the England senior squad. Mings, 26, has made an assured start to his career at Villa since joining, initially on loan, in January. Chelsea's Mason Mount and Leicester's James Maddison return to the squad, not been included since the Nations League squad in October 2018. Liverpool's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has also been recalled following a lengthy lay-off. His last appearance was in a 1-1 friendly draw against Italy in March 2018, a month before he damaged knee ligaments playing for his club. Atletico Madrid's former Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier is recalled after being dropped for the Nations League Finals. Burnley goalkeeper, Nick Pope, also returns, having not been included since the 2018 World Cup Finals.

Monday, 2 September 2019 - Deliveroo becomes an official partner to the England team, which sees the company become the first ever sleeve sponsor on the training kit for the National Team, as well as the Women's side.

Tuesday, 3 September 2019 - Aaron Wan-Bissaka has withdrawn from the England squad and returned to his club following an injury with his back. Gareth Southgate is not planning any replacements.

Thursday, 5 September 2019 - Gareth Southgate reveals the starting XI to his squad.

Friday, 6 September 2019 - The England have their last day of training at St. George's Park before leaving for London. 23 of the players are involved, with Jesse Lingard missing out due to a minor illness.

Saturday, 7 September 2019 - As the team is announced to face Bulgaria, it is also revealed that Jesse Lingard has left the squad and returned to his club after not recovering from his illness
