Club Career

Club(s) Signed professional forms with Wigan Athletic FC on 4 January 2003, from trainee. Played 145 league matches, scoring four times before Sunderland AFC offered £6 million, which his club accepted but Baines rejected, eventually joining Everton FC on 6 August 2007 for an initial £5 million fee. Has played 340 matches, scoring 29, up until the end of the 2018-19 season.
