Diary

Friday, 18 March 2016 - 27-man has been announced by Joachim Lw. He includes for the first time, Jonathan Tah. Lw explains that Tah's inclusion is due to the injuries presently suffered by Jerome Boateng and Benedict Howedes. Tah is the only newcomer to the squad that includes two uncapped goalkeepers, Kevin Trapp and Bernd Leno.
Ilkay Gundogan misses out because of his bruised foot.

Monday, 21 March 2016 - Coach Joachim Lw has withdrawn Max Kruse from the squad. The reasons stated were because the Wolfsburg player has fallen short of the high standards expected by the 28 year old role model and had acted unprofessionally. Lw says "Even last week, I spoke with Max Kruse, and clearly told him what I expected of him, both on and off the pitch. I want players to focus on football and the European Championships. Last weekend, Max behaved unprofessionallly once again. We need players who are focused. We need players who aware of their own expectations as role models."

Wednesday, 23 March 2016 - Captain Bastian Schweinsteiger has withdrawn from the sqaud after missing Germany's second day of training, Mesut Ozil and Karim Bellarbi were also missing. Ozil and Bellarabi remained at the team's hotel for treatment. Ozil has an injured left ankle and Bellarabi a bruised right foot. Meanwhile, Schweinsteiger, who was injured at the end of yesterday's training session, had gone for a scan on his injured right knee to reveal a medial ligament tear. He will return to Manchester United to receive treatment.
