Monday, 24 August 2015 - Roy Hodgson will delay naming his squad for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against San Marino and Switzerland until after next weekend's Premier League matches. The 68-year-old had planned to announce his selection tomorrow, but will now wait until Sunday. "We have a large of number of players that still need confirming regarding availability and fitness. Rather than selecting a larger squad now, we will wait for the games at the weekend before choosing around 23 players who are definitely available."

Sunday, 30 August 2015 - Roy Hodgson finally names his 22-man squad. There are returns for Jonjo Shelvey and Luke Shaw. Jack Butland seps up from the under-21's, and Tom Heaton retains his position in the squad.

Friday, 4 September 2015 - All 22 men are fit as they fly to San Marino, Hodgson confirms that Jamie Vardy will win his second cap, as will Jonjo Shelvey, three years after his first. John Stones has also been confirmed as a starter.
