Diary
Monday, 10
January 1927
- The International Selection Committee of the Football Association
decided to send a representative side to play Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland,
Italy and France. The team will, it is expected, leave England on Monday, 9 May,
and be back in England about 28 May.

Monday, 5
		  April 1927
- The Football Association announced that the projected Continental
tour will not now be carried out as originally intended. Unforeseen
difficulties have arisen that have caused an entire alteration of
plans. The three countries that representative England will meet are
Belgium, Luxembourg and France.  One team will leave England on
Monday 9 May and will play Belgium at Brussels on 11 May, returning to
this country on 12 May. On Thursday, 19 May, a team will leave for
Luxembourg, play that country in the capital on 21 May and two days
afterwards will journey on to Paris to play France on 26 May. The team
will return to England the following day. Wagstaffe Simmons will have
		  charge of both teams.

		  Friday, 15
		  April 1927
- The ISC have sent out invitations to the members of the England
team who defeated Scotland at Glasgow last week to represent the
country in the Continental tour next month. The view was taken that it
would be a compliment to the team, and also to the Continental
countries that are to be met, to choose them same side, and it is
hoped that all will be able to make the two journeys.

		  Friday, 22
		  April 1927
- Arthur Kingscott presided over a meeting of the ISC at Russell
Square, London, when the Continental tour was given further
consideration. It was reported that most probably the exact team that
received invitations, with Fred Kean and Bob Kelly included as
reserves. Mr Mutters was accepted as the referee for the Belgium match
and Mr Van Assche for the Luxembourg match. France are asked to
nominate a Swiss or Belgian referee for the Paris fixture.
