According to the 1911 census, Arthur is now one of three children who still live with their parents at 21 Carey Place in Watford. He works with his father at Smith & Farrier.

  According to the 1921 census, Arthur, a professional footballer (with Tottenham Hotspur FC), is the youngest of three sons living at home with their parents still at 21 Carey Place.
Marriage to Gwendolin Mary Adcock [registered in Watford, December 1922].
  According to the 1939 register, Arthur, a newsagent and tobacconist, and Gwendoline M., are still married and are living at 20 Carey Place in Watford, along with at least one son, William R.

Playing Career

Club(s) Played schoolboy football in Watford before playing for Watford St. Stephen's FC. Joined Watford FC as an amateur in 1909, turning professional in November 1911. Tottenham Hotspur FC signed Grimsdell in March 1912 for a £350 transfer fee. After 324 league appearances and 26 goals, he went to Clapton Orient FC as a player-secretary/manager from the 1929-30 close season.
