Frustrated by limited opportunities with England's traditional colours, this garish paint explosion finally unleashed the kit designer's desire to experiment with the goalkeeper's kit. Mercifully, it lasted less than a year, though its replacement was arguably, not much better, though associated with more success.

Paired with the 1993 white uniform on three of its four appearances, this kit couldn't really have been more successful, with four Wembley friendly victories without conceding a goal.
