Club Career

Club(s) Played school football in Handsworth, playing with Handsworth Old Boys FC and had trials with West Bromwich Albion FC but ended up at Halesowen Town FC. He signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC in May 1933 for a £100 fee, and went on to play in 175 league matches, scoring twice. He joined Dudley Town FC for a couple of seasons before retiring in 1949.
