Club Career

Club(s) As an Everton FC YTS trainee, he signed professional terms on 20 February 1998. His prolific goalscoring abilities, eighteen goals in 49 Premier League matches, caught the attention of Arsenal FC, and he signed for them on 14 June 2001 for an initial £8m. (it should have raised to £10m., dependent on appearances). Unfortunately, he could not repeat his earlier performances, scoring only four in 22 Premier League matches (only four starts), and he was loaned back to Everton FC on 1 September 2003 for the 2003-04 season, he played eighteen Premier League matches, without any return. He was signed by Charlton Athletic FC for £2.6m. on 10 August 2004. Following a lacklustre season with Charlton, and an uneventful start to the 2005-06, after twenty Premier League matches with three goals, Jeffers joined Rangers FC on 31 August 2005 on a four-month loan deal, he played in only eight SPL matches. Jeffers was released from his Charlton contract in May 2006 and joined Blackburn Rovers FC on 30 June 2006, he played in only ten Premier League matches, and consequently joined Ipswich Town FC on loan on 2 March 2007. He was injured and returned to Rovers, but upon his recovery, he returned to Ipswich for the remainder of the season. His early form was recovered as he scored four in nine league matches, but Blackburn refused any attempts for Ipswich to sign Jeffers. On 9 August 2007 however, Jeffers signed for Sheffield Wednesday FC for £700,000. After a return of only five goals in 54 league matches, Jeffers was released on 3 May 2010. He went to Blackpool FC on trial, and returned to Everton FC to train. On 29 October 2010, Jeffers signed for Australian A-League side Newcastle Jets for ten matches, he scored once. After being unable to finalise a contract, Jeffers returned to UK and signed for Motherwell FC in February 2011. He played in ten SPL matches, scoring once, before being released on 1 June 2011. In October 2011, Jeffers again signed for Newcastle Jets, before being released again in April 2012, after two goals in 26 matches. After maintaining his fitness with Tranmere Rovers FC, Jeffers signed with Maltese Premier Leafue side, Floriana FC, on 12 October 2012, scoring one in two appearances. On 8 March 2013, Jeffers signed with Accrington Stanley FC until the end of that season, making seven league appearances, scoring twice. Following which, he had unsuccessful trials with Bury FC, Brunei DPMM and Chester FC.
