	  announced his 24-man squad. He has left out Mats Hummels, Mario Götze and 
	  Robin Koch. However, he has handed a first call-up for Southampton's Armel 
	  Bella-Kotchap.
  
	  Sunday, 18 September 2022 - Borussia 
	  Dortmund captain Marco Reus suffered an ankle ligament injury in their 
	  Bundesliga match last night against FC Schalkeand as a result, withdrew 
	  from the squad. Hans Flick was called on RB Leipzig's Benjamin Henrichs in 
	  his place. 
	   Monday, 19 September 2022 - The 
	  German squad head to the DFB Campus in Frankfurt, ahead of their first day 
	  of training tomorrow.
  Wednesday, 21 September 2022  
	  - Leon Gortezka and Manuel Neuer have both tested positive for the 
	  coronavirus this morning. Both players, from Bayern München, have been 
	  isolated and will leave the team hotel. Due to the positive result, the 
	  medical team carried out a rapid antigen test. The requirement for the 
	  entire team and the support staff is to have negative results. In the 
	  coming days, the contacts of the two players will be tested daily. 
	  Oliver Baumann, TSG Hoffenheim, has been called up as Neuer's replacement, 
	  and then in the afternoon, Julian Brant left camp after suffering with 
	  cold-like symptoms, although he tested negative for CoVid19. Wolfsburg's 
	  Maximilian Arnold was called up as a replacement for Gortezka.
  
	  Friday, 23 September 2022 - Germany 0 Hungary 1 - 
	  Hungary remained in pole position to qualify for Nations League finals 
	  from Group A3 after a spectacular win over Germany in Leipzig. Adam Szalai 
	  scored the winner as he met a corner wth a spectacular backheeled flick 
	  that looped into the far corner. The 34 year old is set to retire after 
	  Monday's final group game.

	  Lukas Nmecha, because of knee problems, and Toni Rüdiger, 
	  who is suspended, have both returned to their clubs.
