Friday, 13 May 2022 - Marco Rossi has named a 27-man squad for next months Nations League preliminary matches against England, Italy and Germany. Péter Baráth, Szabolcs Schön and Vancsa Zalán will first report for under-21 duty, in order to get some matchtime, before returning to the senior side.

Monday, 23 May 2022 - In their first Nations League match next month against England, UEFA have enforced the requirement for the host nation to play the match behind closed doors, because of the behaviour of supporters. Nevertheless, the stands will not be empty as the MLSZ have provided the opportunity for young children, under the age of 14, to enter with school attendants.
Twelve members of the squad-two goalkeepers and ten outfielders-began their preparations in Telki today. Eleven of the players play their domestic football in Hungary, whereas the last, Schäfer, plays in Germany.

Wednesday, 25 May 2022 - Attila Fiola is forced to train separately from the rest of the party due to a slight muscle injury. His missing out is a precaution.

Thursday, 26 May 2022 - Ákos Kecskés has joined the party.

Friday, 27 May 2022 - Ádám Szalai and Attila Szalai arrive in Telki and participate in training this morning.

Tuesday, 31 May 2022 - 25 of the 27 players in the squad return to training in Telki following a break over the weekend. Adam Nagy has not yet arrived for training, and Dániel Rich currently has a positive covid test. Because of the uncertainty of Rich's involvement, Marco Rossi has brought Vancsa Zalán in earlier than anticipated from the under-21 set up.
The Nations League match between Hungary and England in Budapest on Saturday will have at least 30,000 fans in attendance - despite the fixture being held behind closed doors. Under Article 73 of the UEFA regulation, school children up to the age of fourteen can be invited to the match free of charge...if accompanied by an adult. MLSZ have confirmed 30,000 children have registered.
