Friday, 18 March 2022 - Head Coach Murat Yakin has named a 25 man squad for the upcoming friendly matches against England and Kosovo next week. There are no new call-ups and Granit Xhaka returns as captain. Gregor Kobel, Jordan Lotomba and Breel Embolo all return to the squad as well, but Christian Fassnacht, Bryan Okoh, Haris Seferovoc and Denis Zakaria all miss out because of injury.

Monday, 21 March 2022 - Granit Xhaka will not arrive for the training camp in arbella until tomorrow, because of illness. However, Goalkeeper Philipp Köhn will remain in Salzburg because of a knee injury. He will not be replaced.

Tuesday, 22 March 2022 - The Swiss national side will have to do without Yann Sommer for next weeks friendly matches. The regular goalkeeper tested positive for the coronavirus this afternoon. He is in isolation in a Marbella hotel room with mild symptoms.

Thursday, 24 March 2022 - Fabian Schär has left the training camp and returned to his club because of an abductor problem.
