Notes
Thursday, 2 October 2000 - Finnish coach Antti Muurinen on Monday named his 18-man squad to face Greece and England in World Cup qualifying matches, making few changes to the side which beat Albania 2-1 last month. Muurinen's four strikers remain the same but he added Stockport County's Jarkko Wiss in midfield and Genk's Juha Reini to fill in for suspended defender Janne Saarinen. Barcelona's Jari Litmanen will again orchestrate the midfield and Liverpool's Sami Hyypiä will anchor the defence against Greece in Athens on Saturday and England in Helsinki on October 11.
