Diary

Friday, 28 February 1873 - Newspaper reports that the players for the upcoming grand international football match will be chosen from Messrs Gardner, Wotherspoon, Kerr, Renny-Tailyour, Kinnaird, R.Smith, Blackburn, J.Smith, Leckie, Weir, Rhind, Elliot and Stewart.

This match, along with match one, were organised by the Queen's Park club of Glasgow.

The Scottish 'International Fund', £32, allowed only eight return tickets to London for the match, so three of the Scottish line-up were London residents.  Arthur Kinnaird qualified by being a Perthshire landowner.
