According to the 1861 census, four-month old William Sealy is the sixth of eleven children to Edward Urch Sealy and Emma Harriet (née Eyre). His father is a magistrate and a barrister, living at Cornborough House [left] at Abbotsham. There are seven servants.

According to the 1871 census, William has three more younger siblings, so he is one of the seven children still at home at Cornborough with eight servants.

 

According to the 1881 census, William S. is a lieutenant in the Royal Engineers based in Chatham.

 

According to the 1891 census, W.Sealy is now a captain in the Royal Engineers now based in Alverstoke.

Marriage to Jane Rebekah Conington [registered in Horncastle, Lincolnshire, December 1893].
Their one daughter, Alethea Eleanor, was born, and died in early 1895, six months before....
