Club Career

Club(s) He started his career with Hebburn Argyle FC and then Peebles Rovers, before joining Second Division Lincoln City FC in June 1906 for £25. He scored eight goals in thirteen League appearances before he was signed by Leeds City FC for £350 in November 1906. He guested for Bradford City FC during the war. After 289 league appearances and 172 goals, Leeds City FC were disbanded and McLeod was sold to Notts County FC for £1250 on 17 October 1919. He left for Doncaster Rovers FC in 1921 and retired shortly after.
