According to the 1891 census, Arthur E. is the fifth of six children to William and Sarah A.. His father is a painter and plumber, they all live at Wharf Street in Godalming.

 

According to the 1901 census, thirteen year old Arthur E. remains the fifth of six, remaining with their parents in Wharf Street. His father is still a plumber and painter.

 

According to the 1911 census, Arthur Egerton is a clerk, boarding with the Cronin family, Bertha Janet and her seven sons, at 61 Cottage Grove in Southsea.

Marriage to Florence E. Clark [registered in Portsmouth, September 1918].
  According to the 1921 census, Arthur Egerton, an inspector of motor insurance claims, is now married to Florence Gladys, and with two children, Kathleen, Egerton and Geoffrey Egerton, they live at 26 Chetwynd Road in Southsea with one servant, Dorothy New.
  According to the 1939 register, Arthur E., a home gardener, is still married, and they live at Evelen, on Elm Grove in Chichester.
Death 10 March 1956 in Milton, Hampshire, aged 68 years 171 days [registered in Portsmouth, March 1956]. Buried in Highfield Road cemetery, Portsmouth.
