Guppy was released as a
Southampton FC trainee, he was playing for Colden Common FC when he signed
for Wycombe Wanderers FC 1st September 1989. Signed for Newcastle
United for £150,000 on 2 August 1994, after only one cup appearance, Guppy
signed for Port Vale FC on 25 November 1994 for £225,000. Leicester City
FC snapped him up for £950,000 on 28 February 1997. Guppy then
followed his manager Martin O'Neill to Glasgow Celtic FC on 2 August 2001
for £350,000, returning to Leicester City FC on a free transfer on 16
January 2004. He joined Leeds United AFC in August, then Stoke City
FC from September and Wycombe Wanderers FC from November 2005. |
