Club Career
Club(s) Played football with Yorkshire schools. He signed apprentice forms with Manchester United FC in August 1968, he turned professional in June 1970. He would play 221 league matches, scoring thirteen times, before a £350,000 transfer to Leeds United AFC in August 1979. He would make 72 league appearances, scoring once, before being allowed to leave when United were relegated in 1982. He had a trial with Hull City AFC in November 1983, but joined his brother at Rochdale AFC as a player-coach, playing sixteen league matches, until Jimmy has sacked in March 1984. Brian retired at the same time.
