his wife, Isabella (née Fazackerly). They live at 11 Fairfield Crescent in West Derby. His
father is a solicitor and they have two servants. |

Arthur is a pupil at St Chad College in Denstone, Uttoxeter. His father,
now a solicitor in the Supreme Court, his mother, and his three
siblings, all live at 26 Prescot Drive in West Derby. |

According to the 1911 census,
Arthur has returned to the family home, he is now one of three
children, living with their parents, at Brynavon in Machwiel, near
Wrexham. His father is a solicitor once more (he had been a
director at Liverpool FC between 1904-09), Arthur himself, a law student.

Dies
"Mr. Arthur Berry, the Liverpool
barrister and member of the firm of Edwin Berry and Company, solicitors,
21 Old Hall Street, Liverpool, died yesterday. He was the son of the late
Mr. Edwin Berry, founder of the firm. He was educated at Denstone College
and Wadham College, Oxford, where he gained his degree of B.A. with
honours in law. Later he was called to the bar. In his youth, Mr. Berry
was well known as an Association footballer. He got his Blue for Oxford
University and was 'capped' a number of times for England, and
subsequently toured with the F.A. eleven in South Africa. He also played
at outside right for Liverpool F.C. at a time when his father was chairman
of the club. Later he played in the Everton side, He leaves a widow." -

Arthur
attended Wadham college at Oxford University and earned his 'blue' in 1908 and 1909. At the same
time, he signed as an amateur for
Liverpool FC on 4 October 1907. He joined Fulham
FC in September 1909, but found the commuting difficult, so he returned to
the north-west and joined Everton FC on 1 February 1910. He played with Oxford City FC in 1911 until 1913. He also rejoined
Liverpool FC on 19 June 1912, he left to rejoin neighbours Everton
FC on 11 November. He also assisted Wrexham AFC and Northern Nomads FC. He retired from playing in 1913. |

Arthur retired from football in 1913 after
being called to the bar at Gray's Inn. He also
served as Adjutant of the Lancashire Fusiliers during WWI. Following the
