Club Career

Club(s) After playing junior football, Barham signed on as a Norwich City FC apprentice in June 1978, turning professional in April 1980. He played in 177 league matches, scoring 23, before he joined Huddersfield Town AFC in July 1987 for £25,000. After only 27 league appearances, with a single goal, Barham then joined Middlesbrough FC in October 1988, and he played just four league matches in a Boro shirt. Following a short period at Hythe Town FC, Barham found himself playing another four league matches for West Bromwich Albion FC in 1989. But from there, he joined Brighton & Hove Albion FC, playing in 73 league appearances, scoring three times. In 1992, he joined Shrewsbury Town FC, scoring once in eight league appearances. After which, he dropped into the non-league scene, including Kitchee SC, of Hong Kong, Sittingbourne FC, Southwick FC, Fakenham Town FC as manager from April 1996 until his resignation in December 1997, and Mulbarton FC in February 1998.
