The Lyrics by David Mackay & Ken Ashby, additional lyrics by Jimmy Lawless; reworking of That's Livin' Alright

Heading out tonight, to cheer the team in white
That's England alright
Raise a glass to the boys, in a bar full of noise
That's England alright
Hear the roar, when the three lions score
We're gonna beat them all out of sight
And when we've played the game you'll remember our name
That's England alright

Football in the sun, we'll be there having fun
That's England alright
From Frankfurt to Cologne, we'll make ourselves at home
That's England alright
Playing with a smile, attacking in style
and trying with all of our might
With a little luck, we could win the World Cup
That's England alright

See the flag fly, Guten tag! Ola! Hi!
Yeah it's football that'll make us unite

And they'll love our game, Frank to David to Wayne

That's England alright

Yeah we'll play the game, til its Auf Wiedersehen

That's England alright

Yeah we'll play the game, til its Auf Wiedersehen

That's England alright

Football in the sun, we'll be there having fun

That's England alright

From Frankfurt to Cologne, we'll make ourselves at home
That's England alright

Playing with a smile, attacking in style
and trying with all of our might
With a little luck, we could win the World Cup
That's England alright

Yeah we'll play the game, til its Auf Wiedersehen

That's England alright

It's been forty years, we've shed so many tears
and now we're gonna get it right
and we'll never give up, til we've lifted that Cup
That's England alright

Yeah we'll play the game, til its Auf Wiedersehen
That's England alright

Notes

Singer Joe Fagin has re-recorded his 1984 hit That's Livin' Alright as an alternative World Cup football anthem.  That's England Alright, a reworking of the theme tune to Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, will be released on 22 May.  "It's a song that captures the spirit of the true England fan - whether they are over in Germany, or watching it in the pub back home," said Fagin.  - BBC Entertainment
