Diary
Tuesday, 30 September 2025 -
Craig Bellamy has named a squad for next months matches, a friendly against
Wales at Wembley and a World Cup qualification match against Belgium in Cardiff.
Captain Aaron Ramsey, the 34-year-old midfielder, has been recalled, after he was omitted from the squad for matches against Kazakhstan and Canada earlier this month.
Wales are also able to welcome back Leeds United pair Ethan Ampadu and Joe
Rodon, Coventry City defender Jay Dasilva and Wrexham forward Nathan Broadhead,
after they all missed the Kazakhstan and Canada fixtures because of injury.
Leeds winger Dan James is included despite reports of a knee injury, with Wales
awaiting an assessment from his club side.
Thursday, 2 October 2025 -
Dan James has been ruled out through injury. The winger, 27, is expected
to be out for four to six weeks after rolling his ankle in training, according
to his Leeds United manager Daniel Farke, who expects James back after the November international break, calling it a "bonus and surprise" if the player can return before then.
While the injury to James is a blow, Bellamy can still call on the Premier League trio of Brennan Johnson, David Brooks and Harry Wilson for the wide attacking positions, while Stoke City's Sorba Thomas has also impressed at international level.
Wales have yet to call up a replacement to the squad for 59-times-capped James.
Monday, 6 October 2025 - Aaron Ramsey has withdrawn from Wales' squad through injury.
The 34-year-old midfielder was left out of the Pumas UNAM side for Sunday's 2-1 Liga MX defeat against Guadalajara, with reports in Mexico stating he had suffered "discomfort" during training on Thursday.
Wales boss Craig Bellamy has added Cardiff City's Isaak Davies and Rubin Colwill to his squad to replace Ramsey and Leeds United winger Dan James, who withdrew last week.
Colwill, 23, joins brother Joel in Bellamy's selection and, along with 24-year-old Davies, takes the number of Cardiff players in the 26-strong squad to five.
