Thomas Tuchel has named a 26-man squad to face Andorra and
Serbia in World Cup qualification matches from next weekend. Trent Alexander-Arnold, recently signed by Real Madrid, has
been left out. His clunbmate, Jude Bellingham, is missing because of
his shoulder injury. Others missing because of injury include
Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and Chelsea pair Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill. Chelsea's Trevor Chalobah, Burnley's new-signing, the experienced Kyle Walker,
Liverpool's Curtis Jones, Atlético's Conor Gallagher and Ahli's Ivan
Toney. Everton's in-form winger Jack Grealish still misses out, as
does his old city teammate, Phil Foden. Nottingham
Forest's Elliot Anderson and Tottenham's Djed Spence have both earned
first call-ups. There are recalls for Palace's Marc Guéhi,
Manchester City's John Stones, who gets a first call-up under Tuchel,
West Ham's Jarrod Bowen and on-loan Barcelona forward, Marcus
Rashford.
Newcastle's Tino Livramento returns after featuring in the under-21
successful Euro campaign. Palace's Adam Wharton also returns, after he
missed out on the Euro Under-21's because of injury.

September 2025 - On Transfer Deadline Day, Liverpool nearly get their
man in the signing of Marc Guéhi, who has been a subject of
many bids for
the last month. A £35 million fee was finalised as he
successfully passed his medical. Despite Liverpool submitting their
relevant paperwork, Palace would not sanction the deal as they had not
found an adequate replacement.
Tuesday, 2 September 2025 -
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been added to the England squad, seven years after his
tenth and final appearance, when he came on as a substitute in a win against the United States in November 2018.
Thomas Tuchel managed the 29-year-old during his stint in charge of Chelsea.
Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jarell Quansah has also been called up, after an injury to Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton.
Wharton picked up the groin injury in his side's 3-0 win at Aston Villa on Sunday.
Quansah was part of the England side that won the European Under-21 Championship in June, and joined the German club from Liverpool in a £35m deal last month.
He was also part of Tuchel's first England squad in March that faced Albania and Latvia in the World Cup qualifiers, but is yet to
make his first appearance.
Wednesday, 3 Setember 2025 - In the
abscence of the under-21 squad, Thomas Tuchel has invited two members
of the under-20 squad to train alongside all of the senior members.
Plymouth Argyle's Law McCabe, on loan from Middlesbrough, and
Nottingham Forest's Zach Abbott, were the two members chosen.
Thursday, 4 September 2025 -
Following another training session at St. George's Park, Marc Guéhi hands Andrew Johnson
his Legacy Cap (1135), as the FA extend their new tradition to include
former players.
