Diary

Friday, 5 October 2007 -  Guus Hiddink named a 19-man squad for his team's European Championship qualifier against England.  Hiddink dropped Udinese midfielder Viktor Budyanskiy and Spartak Moscow half back Vladimir Bystrov from the 23-man squad named for matches in September.

Friday, 15 October 2007 -  Guus Hiddink will prepare for Wednesday's crunch encounter with England in Moscow without the services of Ivan Saenko, who has been ruled out through injury.  The midfielder, who will turn 24 on the day of the game, has failed to fully shake off a leg injury he picked up last month and has already returned to Germany, where he plays his club football with FC Nurnberg.  Saenko was lined up to replace Spartak Moscow's Vladimir Bystrov, also ruled out with cruciate ligament damage, and Hiddink has now called upon uncapped Khimki midfielder Roman Shirokov as cover.
